For preserving ovarian function in systemic diseases, indications for both ovarian tissue and oocyte preservation are not clearly defined.

Systemic diseases do not seem to account for a decrease in fertility, which is primarily related to treatment, especially cyclophosphamide.Guidelines for cryopreservation procedure should consider patient age, underlying pathology and time available for fertility preservation intervention.Systemic diseases justify a multidisciplinary management in which a referent in a cryopreservation center has its place.
