Douleur et analgésie

Douleur et analgésie

Douleur et Analgésie, the first French-language international journal devoted to pain, was founded in 1988. Thanks to the scientific quality and independence of its publications, this quarterly was immediately well received by researchers and clinicians specialising in the field. From 2006 onwards, the editorial board wanted to open up more to the French-speaking world, including North America, in order to share knowledge more effectively and enhance the scientific value of the journal. As a result, the editorial and scientific committees have grown in size and are more representative of the biopsychosocial complexity of pain. Their expertise extends from basic research to clinical practice, in terms of both pain assessment and treatment.

Each issue includes original articles, summary articles and literature reviews. The journal is aimed at all those, whether specialists or not, who wish to perfect and update their continuing education and pass on their knowledge. In this way, it meets the expectations of a growing number of healthcare professionals (neurologists, anaesthetists, dentists, neurosurgeons, psychologists, etc.) directly involved in the fight against pain or in the wider field of supportive care.
