Miscarriages are frequent events that remain taboo in our society. The announcement of this event, which represents a rupture in the lives of women, is most often made in the emergency room by interns. How is this frequent event experienced by women, what is their relationship with the medical profession carrying this news and what are their needs for support at this particular time? We will see, in this first part, the particularity of this announcement with the immediate physical and psychological repercussions for the patients. In a second part, we will explore the different psychological and relational consequences that follow this particular bereavement and the needs of patients during a miscarriage.
