Many studies suggest that media coverage of celebrity suicides, like publicizing the issue of suicide in general, risks influencing vulnerable people and contributing, through a contagion effect, to an increase in the number of suicides. Conversely, could highlighting the situations of people who have overcome a suicidal crisis have a positive impact? What rules should be defined for responsible media coverage of this issue with a view to prevention?
