Particules et athérosclérose :
un effet sur la fonctionnalité des lipoprotéines à haute densité ? Volume 20, issue 1, January-February 2021

This news is based on the following article: Holme SAN, Sigsgaard T, Holme JA, Holst GJ. Effects of particulate matter on atherosclerosis: a link via high-density lipoprotein (HDL) functionality? Part Fibre Toxicol 2020 ; 17(1) : 36. Doi : 10.1186/s12989-020-00367-x

Air pollution is a major public health problem associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Several studies confirm the link between exposure to particulate matter (PM) and the rise in cardiovascular diseases (CVD). The authors of this article suggest that PM affects high-density lipoproteins (HDL) by oxidation.
