The article seeks to describe, from the point of view of technological democracy the system of information and cooperation established at Champlan as part of the study program conducted by Ademe. We began by following a typology of “mobilized knowledge” proposed by Sintomer to define and classify the knowledge put forward by the residents of Champlan, as least, such as they were transcribed in the cooperation report. Next, based on models of technological democracy defined by Callon, we propose to understand the elements of technological democracy included in the cooperation process, by studying the assessment interviews. In short, we observe that the procedure, seeking to go beyond simple information, aimed to create a dialogue between scientists and lay citizens. The objective of involving the Champlan residents in the studies seems to have been met to some extent, although without going very far in putting science itself under discussion.
