This news is based on the following article: Meah N. Climate uncertainty and policy making – what do policy makers want to know? Reg Environ Change 2019 ; 19 : 1611-21. Doi : 10.1007/s10113-019-01492-w
The central argument of this article is that climate change experts have focused too much on dealing with uncertainty in their communications, thus facilitating the work of the skeptics. The author believes we should rather emphasize what “we know that we know”, accept that policy decisions cannot merely be deduced from scientific results, and be able to strike up a dialogue with the public and politicians rather than remaining locked in disputes among experts.
