1 IntroductionAmphotericin B is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent and has been the backbone of the treatment for medically important opportunistic fungal pathogens in children and adults [1]. Compared to its pioneer, conventional amphotericin B deoxycholate (D-AmB), liposomal amphotericin B (L-AmB) has a significantly improved toxicity profile.
