Due to their specific place in community work, their missions, their philosophy of care, their history and, by their very collective organization, CMPs (medical psychological centers/out-patient clinics) are mobile teams. They are mobile because they are mobilized and are attentive to the evolution of their environment and the renewed needs that emerge. CMPs are part of a history; they were born of the political movement that transformed asylum psychiatry into a form of psychiatry rooted in the city by democratizing the access to care. How does this history fit with the current rhetoric of “moving towards?” We will address the issues that arise from our daily teamwork, a process of reflection that requires a solid foundation to be sufficiently mobile.
