At the 29th Congress in Avignon, five oral communications concerning endoscopy were presented in the fields of diagnosis, therapy and hygiene. In 80 to 90% of cases, refractory bleeding related to PH may require the placement of a metallic oesophageal prosthesis, the assessment of which has been studied. Underwater Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (uEMR) has emerged as a possible alternative and has been investigated by ANGH centres. The use of alternative procedures to anaesthesia such as sedation with MEOPA gas associated with the practice of colonoscopy in immersion was the subject of feedback. An inventory of the organisation of on-call digestive endoscopy was carried out in the general hospitals. A monocentric study evaluated the impact of the application of the new recommendations for systematic endoscope sampling on the rate of positivity, sequestration, and type of germs.
