Ulcerative colitis or Crohn's colitis are risk factors for colorectal cancer. Video endoscopy with chromoendoscopy should detect, characterize and provide endoscopic treatment of these dysplastic lesions. SCENIC international consensus has developed guidelines on surveillance and management of dysplasia in inflammatory bowel disease.
