Memory disorders are frequent in epileptic patients. They can be considered as epileptic behavioural markers associated to inter-ictal period. Their assessment requires the use of standardized psychometric tests based on theoretical concepts from modern neuropsychology. The relevance of such evaluations, the timing, the methods and the specificity of data interpretation in the context of epilepsy are exposed in the present paper. A special interest is devoted to the investigation of medically intractable seizures to present the specificity of the pre and the post surgical evaluations.
