Having a diagnosis acts on three levels: the science, biography of patient and society. The history of medicine is littered with diagnoses that are made and unmade by the modes and contexts. We propose here to consider the usefulness to our patients, a word in diagnosing scientifically questionable. Fibromyalgia is an example current and very didactic.
