Hypertrichosis cubiti (hairy elbows) is a localized form of increased hairiness involving the third distal of the upper arm and the proximal third of the forearm, bilaterally. The authors report this trait in a 7-year-old girl and in her father, who had experienced a disappearance of the increased hairiness with age. There was also hypertrichosis of the knees. This observation confirms that hypertrichosis cubiti is an hereditary trait showing a probably autosomal dominant mode of transmission and resolving spontaneously with age.
