This chronicle deals with current developments in nature conservation law in 2023. Choices had to be made regarding the case law reported. To facilitate the reading, the authors have chosen to adopt a presentation faithful to the Environment Code, by successively considering natural spaces (I.) and natural heritage (II.). This presentation does not exhaust all nature protection law, as nature can obviously be protected more indirectly, notably by urban planning law, environmental assessment law or water law. Some of these jurisprudences are also mentioned.
