Myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN) is characterized by clonal myeloproliferation that is often but not always accompanied by JAK2, CALR, or MPL mutation associated with excel myeloid mature cell in blood. Thrombosis and hematologic evolution (fibrosis and acute myeloid leukemia) are the major complications. This review is about MPN Philadelphia negative, including polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia, and primitive myelofibrosis. Chronic myeloid leukemia and eosinophilic myeloproliferative disease will be not discussed.
