Indeterminate cell histiocytosis (ICH) is characterized by a proliferation of dendritic cells, which are immunophenotypically similar to Langerhans cells (CD1a+/S-100 protein+), but lack Birbeck's granules. We report herein five patients with ICH and review the literature to outline its clinical, morphological, immunophenotypic and therapeutic features.The patients included three females and two males.
