A 69-year-old man was diagnosed with a metastatic rectal adenocarcinoma seven years ago. After surgical resection of the primary tumour and liver metastases, adjuvant chemotherapy with cetuximab was started. Three years later, due to disease progression, second-line treatment with FOLFIRI regimen (5-fluorouracil (5-FU), folinic acid, irinotecan) was started.
