A young, female, Japanese patient, who had been treated for juvenile dermato-myositis, for 15 years, presented with numerous subcutaneous nodules at the knees with the recent onset of pain in the left knee. Two of the resected nodules showed calcification and ossification on histopathological examination. To our knowledge, this is the second case of calcinosis associated with ossification developing in a patient with juvenile dermatomyositis.
