A 55-year-old African woman presented with a 4-year course of frontotemporal alopecia and total eyebrow loss. She complained of scalp pruritus and mentioned the sporadic appearance of erythematous papules on her limbs. One year earlier, she had undergone an unsuccessful hair transplantation. No other treatments had been tried. She had a previous history of type 2 diabetes, hypothyroidism, hypertension and depression, for which she was medicated with metformin, levothyroxine, amlodipine and sertraline. [...]
