The principal objective of this study is the analysis, in a particular context, of the impact of organic pollution induced by ammonium, nitrates, nitrites, biological demand for oxygen (BDO5), and dissolved oxygen, on the quality of superficial waters. The samples studied to that end are those taken in 2000 and 2001 from the Kébir East and Bounamoussa rivers in far north-east Algeria.
