Since 2013, the University of Lorraine has been using medical simulation to train psychiatry students. The effectiveness of this new way of teaching has led us to consider using this technique to teach more complex skills, such as psychotherapy.

The sessions were the result of collaboration between experts in psychotherapy and experts in teaching using simulation. The success of these sessions has encouraged us to further develop the use of simulation in teaching psychotherapy, and to carefully study the impact of this pedagogy on students.
