Psychotherapy and Charge syndrome.Charge syndrome is a rare genetic illness, combining a polymalformative tableau with various psychiatric disorders. It is not unusual for children suffering from this syndrome to rapidly enter the handicap circuit, and only much later be referred to paedopsychiatry. What psychiatric tableaux characterize them? What means are available in paedopsychiatry to take care of these highly unusual patients? And above all, what is the efficacy of psychotherapy in these cases? This article presents two clinical cases of Charge syndrome monitored by our child and adolescent psychiatry sector. Each of these two children has benefited from institutional psychotherapy suited to their psychopathology.
