We report the case of Mr. T, of Bosnian origin, in a socially extremely precarious condition, who presented with Sharp's syndrome discovered since 2 years. He was hospitalized repeatedly and over a long period of time for surgical complications related to his disease. He presented with “problems of adjustment” in the surgery department. We met after 9 months of hospitalization when the patient complained of acute diarrhea with repercussions, preventing his release home, that could not be not explained by the surgeons. The surgeons then asked for the liaison-psychiatrist's opinion regarding a possible psychiatric disorder.
