Aims and scope

Annales Françaises de Médecine d'Urgence publishes original articles, literature reviews and clinical cases in all areas of emergency medicine (medical, surgical, psychiatric [adult and paediatric], hospital and pre-hospital), including mass emergencies. The journal addresses the educational (initial and continuing training), organisational, ethical and professional aspects of emergency medicine, including the more specific aspects of emergency medicine such as the assessment of severity, triage and referral of patients.

The journal also looks at relations with other medical disciplines acting at the interface, upstream, downstream and within emergency structures.

Although the journal focuses primarily on medical science, it also welcomes contributions from the paramedical professions involved in emergency medicine, as well as aspects from non-medical fields (human sciences, law, administration).
