Figure 1. Effects of sodium valproate (VPA), vigabatrin (VGB) and tiagabine (TGB) on GABA uptake into human adult astrocytes in primary culture following a 1 hour exposure. Results (n = 24) are expressed as the percentage of mean control values and error bars denote the standard error of the mean (SEM). Statistical significance (*p < 0.05) was determined by one-way analysis of variance with a Dunnett correction.
