  • Video teaching course – Reflex epileptic seizures

This videotape contains a series of reflex seizures collected among different Epilepsy Centers in Italy. Not all different types of reflex seizures have been included. After a brief introduction the video-polygraphic documents are displayed, with a short clinical history of the patient. First a series of seizures precipitated by Intermittent Light Stimulation are shown, followed by startle seizures and seizures precipitated by somatosensitive stimuli. Thereafter more rare conditions are displayed as seizures precipitated by reading, eating and immersion in hot water.

A comment on the more interesting clinical, pathophysiological and EEG aspects of each case history is given.
