On March 5th, 2019, Dr. Ravindra Gupta from University College London gave a presentation at the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI) in Seattle, Washington, USA, on a second patient that has potentially been cured of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) type 1 infection.
