A 67-year-old woman was referred to the dermatology department with a one-year history of a diffuse intensely pruritic skin eruption (based on the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) of pruritus, ranging from 0 (no itch) to 10 (worst imaginable itch), the score was 10/10). Clinical examination revealed small widespread erythematous eczematous papules, affecting 30% of the body surface area (figure 1).
