A 39-year-old man presented with a five-year history of asymptomatic, brown patches on the right upper back and lateral chest. The lesions were slightly depressed with a “cliff-drop” border, but lacked inflammation or induration (figure 1A). There was no relevant medical or family history. Ultrasound examination revealed a slight decrease in dermal thickness in the affected skin compared to normal skin (figure 1B).
