A 34-year-old multiparous woman with no dermatological history presented at 16 weeks of gestation with a four-week history of a severely pruritic rash initially affecting the inner thighs with gradual involvement of the abdomen, limbs and trunk. She reported a discomfort when swallowing and also in her perineum.
