Pemphigus foliaceous (PF) is a rare autoimmune bullous disorder. The key target is desmoglein 1 (Dsg1), an important component of desmosomes along with Dsg3, which holds keratinocytes within the epithelium [1]. Genetic susceptibility, drugs, malignant disorders, ultraviolet light, and stress have been reported to trigger or exacerbate PF.
