Castleman's disease (CD) is a rare lymphoproliferative disorder, first described in 1956. It appears in a localized form (unicentric CD [UCD]) or a systemic/multicentric form (MCD), which causes multiple lymphadenopathy and/or systemic symptoms. HIV-infected patients are at risk of MCD; these cases are associated with the presence of human herpes virus-8 (HHV-8) and have a poor prognosis if left untreated [1].
