Amelanotic lentigo maligna melanoma (ALMM) is a rare subtype of cutaneous melanoma, estimated at less than 2% of all cutaneous melanomas [1]. With a lack of pigmentation, ALMM is frequently misdiagnosed as many benign diseases such as dermatitis, dermatophytes, granuloma annulare and discoid lupus erythematosus, as well as malignant diseases including Bowen’s disease, actinic keratosis, superficial BCC and Merkel cell carcinoma.
