A 49-year-old man presented with a two-year history of a slowly growing, slightly painful mass on the left middle finger with nail changes. On examination, a soft subungual mass could be observed and palpated with hyperconvexity, thinning, and dystrophy of the nail plate, as well as an apparent central dorsal pterygium (figure 1A, B).
