Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) is a rare angioproliferative disease associated with human herpesvirus 8 (HHV8) infection. There are four recognized variants of KS: epidemic or AIDS-associated, endemic or African, iatrogenic, and classic KS. Classic KS is typically chronic but not life threatening and affects mainly elderly Jewish or Mediterranean men with an approximate 10-15:1 male:female ratio [1].
