A 47-year-old Afro-Caribbean male presented to our psychodermatology clinic with long-standing facial ulceration and subsequent scarring, mainly affecting his chin and both cheeks. The patient complained of persistent facial pain, severe pruritus, and burning sensation in the trigeminal nerve distribution (especially the mandibular branch) and at the angle of the mandible (figure 1).
