Actinic keratosis (AK) and Bowen's disease (BD) are common epidermal precancerous dermatoses. While AK is considered to be a precursor of squamous cell carcinoma on chronically light exposed sites in fair-skinned people, BD represents an intraepidermal carcinoma with the capacity for destructive and invasive growth (Bowen's carcinoma) occurring on almost any part of the skin and mucosa [1].
