INTRODUCTION The existence of MHC-restricted cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) with specificity for tumor-associated antigens has been demonstrated in melanoma patients. Numerous T cell epitopes of melanoma cells have been identified, and several genes encoding the respective proteins have been cloned [1].
