A 47-year-old Caucasian woman, with no relevant medical history, presented with three facial skin lesions, which had appeared two years before. Physical examination revealed three erythematous plaques (two on the left and one on the right cheek), measuring 1-1.5 cm (figure 1A). The lesions were stable and did not cause pain or itch.
