Exceptional response to brivaracetam in a patient with refractory idiopathic generalized epilepsy and absence seizures Volume 20, numéro 1, February 2018

Figure 1

First continuous video-EEG recording after severe exacerbation of seizures, showing interictal activity (upper panel) and a recording of one of the 42 absence seizures experienced by our patient during video-EEG monitoring (lower panel). EEG registration was performed at 30 mm/s with a sensitivity of 10 μV/mm, high-frequency filter of 30 Hz, and low-frequency filter of 1 Hz.

Figure 2

A second continuous video-EEG recording, performed after the patient improved with BRV, revealed interictal activity with shorter epileptiform discharges (upper panel) and a single absence seizure (lower panel), which occurred while the patient was talking with her companion. EEG registration was performed at 30 mm/s with a sensitivity of 10 μV/mm, high-frequency filter of 30 Hz, and low-frequency filter of 1 Hz.
