Nodular fasciitis is a benign, tumefactive, pseudoneoplastic proliferation of myofibroblasts. Its clinical course is characterized by sudden appearance and rapid enlargement. Although nodular fasciitis may be found anywhere on the body, it is located on the upper extremity in approximately fifty percent of cases.
