The aetiological relationship between psoriasis and systemic comorbidities has been at the centre of academic interest [1]. Psoriasis is an inflammatory skin disease that induces plaques with scaling erythema. The prevalence of psoriasis is approximately 0.43% in Japan and the number of patients with psoriasis is reportedly increasing [2, 3].
