Myeloid sarcoma (MS) is a rare extramedullary tumour, composed of myeloblasts or immature myeloid cells, occurring most often in the skin, soft tissues and bones [1]. Cluster of differentiation (CD) 56 is not a dominant marker of MS [2], and CD56+ MS may be associated with a poor prognosis [3].
