Gorlin-Goltz syndrome (GGS) is a rare inherited autosomal dominant genodermatosis, with nearly complete penetrance but variable expression. It was first recognised in 1894 by Jarisch and White, but owes its current name to the oral pathologist, Robert James Gorlin, and the dermatologist, William Goltz [1]. The estimated incidence of GGS ranges between 1:50,000 and 1:150,000, with a male/female ratio of 1:1, and most cases occur in white patients (90%) [2, 3].
