An 84-year-old woman consulted for pruritic erythematous lesions on the trunk and legs which had appeared two years ago, initially diagnosed as bullous pemphigoid but resistant to class IV topical steroids. Physical examination revealed erythematous annular, polycyclic plaques (figure 1A). Medical history was relevant for diabetes, sigmoid adenocarcinoma (in remission), and cognitive disorders.
