Septic arthritis at Neisseria gonorrhoeae is infrequent. They should be evoked in the face of arthritis in a sexually active young adult. We report the observation of a case of acute shoulder monoarthritis at Neisseria Gonorrhoeae in a 44-year-old adult. Joint puncture was diagnosed by isolating and identifying the germ in question and its susceptibility to antibiotics. Healing was achieved quickly and without sequelae with a 3rd generation cephalosporin.
