Embryo cryopreservation has become an essential tool in Assisted Reproductive Technologies and management of infertile couples. The growth of vitrification since the 2010s has allowed a modification of therapeutic strategies based on greater reproducibility, robustness and effectiveness than traditional slow freezing, and this, at all embryonic stages. This technique can even be used to postpone embryo transfer, with increasing indications for this so-called “freeze all” strategy.
