ASALEE is a cooperation protocol between general practitioners and nurses, aiming to improve the quality of care. It is based on individual or collective therapeutic education of the patient. This qualitative study's primary objective is to collect and analyze the feelings of type 2 diabetic patients participating in therapeutic education group activities supervised by an ASALEE nurse. Patients interviewed describe lifestyle changes such as new eating habits and more physical activity, and other benefits like lower pain and weight loss. The dynamics of social bonding, moral support, empowerment and motivation are appreciated. In some group, we observed patient's organization and autonomisation.
