This descriptive epidemiological study aims to evaluate the functioning of this system and to identify prospects for its future development. The 167 applications received in 2018 were processed using indicators to characterize the professionals making the request, the nature of the requests, the population for which the intervention is requested, and the responses provided by the EMCL. The main applicants are local health care professionals working in mental health ambulatory care centers (29.3 %), pediatric services (23.4 %), and psychiatric emergencies (15.6 %); 55.1% of applicants request hospitalization for vulnerable and “in crisis” patients. Of the 167 requests, 54.5 % concern girls. Our results highlighted that the nature of the intervention requested depends on the type of professionals and the structure in which they practice. Hospitalization remains the most frequently requested intervention and the team's work aims to change this demand toward another type of care. It is important for research to continue to evaluate the practices of the mobile teams and the effectiveness of their actions.
